How to Make Seedlip Mr. Howard

Seedlip’s Mr. Howard cocktail is yet another non-alcoholic beverage that is delicious and gorgeous to behold. The peach, pink color of this drink makes it perfect for summer lunch parties.

Mr. Howard Cocktail

Thanks to Seedlip, which was the first non-alcoholic spirit to break all the rules, you can enjoy such a range of alcohol-free quality beverages. The flavors of these spirits are warm and indulgent.

What goes into a Mr. Howard

  • Seedlip Spice 94: Seedlip Spice 94 is a delicious, warm, and most importantly, non-alcoholic spirit. It is made from a blend of different spices, giving it that warm quality that is so different from Seedlip Garden. It offers the perfect balance of citrusy flavor and bitterness.
  • Pink Grapefruit Juice: Pink grapefruit juice is a perfect companion to Seedlip Spice with its slight tanginess. You can easily get it from the grocery store. However, I prefer juicing out fresh grapefruits every time. Fresh juice will help in retaining the beautiful color of the drink for longer.
  • Lemon Juice: Lemon juice adds a little bit of freshness to the grapefruit tartness.
  • Sugar Syrup: A simple syrup is convenient to have in your refrigerator. since it is a simple blend of sugar dissolved in water. It saves you from dissolving sugar in water every time. Plus, it adds sweetness to this drink and counter-balances the bitterness.
  • Star Anise: This lovely spice not only adds an anise touch, but looks divine floating in the cocktail.

What tools you need to make Mr. Howard

You’ll be need a cocktail shaker for this one! Grab a jigger, a barspoon, and a coupe for this Mr. Howard recipe.

It’s a super easy recipe. All you need to do is all all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice and then shake, shake, shake. You can double strain with a fine sieve strainer and then serve in my favorite glass.

  • Top Tip(ple)🍸: Although I love serving this drink in a coupe, you can use any cocktail glass as well. You can add a few garnishes and decorate the glass to make this simple drink look fancy. Here are a few ideas you will like:
    • Rim décor: Decorate the rim of your glass by dipping it in pink sugar. You can make pink sugar by adding pink food color to the sugar. Dip it first in grapefruit juice and then in the colored sugar so that the sugar sticks to the rim.
    • Garnish: Star Anise adds warmth to the drink, but you can add cinnamon as well. You can also add a grapefruit twist or lemon peel twist to the drink for more color and citrusy flavor.
