How to Make the Monk’s Sour Cocktail

Monk's Sour

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Marc Jean from Bénédictine got down to making me some of his favorite Bénédictine cocktails, including the Monk’s Sour!

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bénédictine
  • 25 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 bar spoons of organic honey syrup
  • 1 dash of orange bitters
  • Grated nutmeg
  • 15 ml of egg white

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker
  2. Make sure you add the egg white last
  3. Add ice
  4. Shake hard
  5. Strain into a cup
  6. Garnish with nutmeg
  7. Serve in a wooden cup if you can
