Monk’s Sour by Marc Jean, Bénédictine – Cocktail Recipe

Marc Jean got down to making me some of his favorite Bénédictine cocktails, including the Monk’s Sour which is our cocktail of the week:

Monk's Sour

Ingredients
  • 50 ml Bénédictine
  • 25 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 bar spoons of organic honey syrup
  • 1 dash of orange bitters
  • Grated nutmeg
  • 15 ml of egg white
Directions
  • Step 1 Add all ingredients to a shaker
  • Step 2 Make sure you add the egg white last
  • Step 3 Add ice
  • Step 4 Shake hard
  • Step 5 Strain into a cup
  • Step 6 Garnish with nutmeg
  • Step 7 Serve in a wooden cup if you can
