The Tuxedo cocktail is a sophisticated variation of the classic Martini, featuring the crispness of gin, the complexity of dry vermouth, and the intriguing depth of maraschino liqueur and absinthe. Its name evokes elegance and refinement, making it a fitting drink for those who appreciate a well-balanced, timeless cocktail.
A Brief History of the Tuxedo
The Tuxedo cocktail dates back to the late 19th century and is said to have originated at the Tuxedo Club in New York, an exclusive social club that helped popularize the formalwear style we now associate with the name. Like the club itself, the drink exudes a sense of class and sophistication, making it a staple among connoisseurs of classic cocktails.

- Maraschino Liqueur – Introduces a touch of cherry sweetness.
- Absinthe (or Absinthe Rinse) – Lends an anise-forward aroma and depth.
