December 1 is coming up so quickly and I still can’t choose which boozy advent calendar to buy! Why choose? You could have each and every one of them – one for gin, one for whisky, etc!

When I interviewed Olivier Ward, founder of Gin Foundry, he walked me through the origins of the first ever Ginvent Calendar. For those who don’t know what a Gin Advent Calendar is, then hold your horses! Behind the 24 beautifully designed doors hide 24 distinctly different gins! They tell me that for this year’s edition, they’ve sifted through some of the UK’s most exciting gins – and if anyone knows gins, it’s these guys!
2. WHISKY
Drinks by the Dram has created their Whisky Advent Calendar, for whisky loves far and wide! That’s 24 whiskys – from Scottish to Irish to American whisk(e)ys. You have to guess which one is worth £600 a bottle!
3. RUM
It wouldn’t be Christmas without eggnog and rum! Brought to you by 1423, 24 Days of Rum is the product of five Danish guys who tried their hand at rum making and now ship have a successful brand! Taste the fruits of their labor every day in December.
4. VODKA & LIQUEURS
William Chase may be known for Vodka but their Liqueur Christmas Advent Calendar brings you a sample of all their spirits, including Chase Elderflower Liqueur and Limoncello, making you long for summer!
5. NAGA VODKA
Drinks by the Dram has also teamed up with the Hot Enough Vodka Company to heat up the winter ahead with their Naga Chilli Vodka Escalation advent calendar! Every day the Vodka gets hotter and hotter and hotter from 10,000 up to 240,000 scovilles, so be careful!
AN EXTRA ONE…SPARKLING WINE
How can I not include an advent calendar that’s gone all bubbly! Behind each door of the Sparkling Fizz Advent Calendar sits a bottle of sparkling wine, including Prosecco, Cava, and Rosé from all over the world. The surprise is on December 24 – but I’m not going to spoil it!
