Bankhall Werther’s Old Fashioned

Susan
Bankhall's Werther's Old Fashioned is a creative twist on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail. By incorporating a Werther's Original into the drink, it adds a a sweet, caramel flavor to the traditional combination of whiskey, sugar, bitters, and an orange twist.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bankhall Sweet Mash
  • 10 ml Werther’s Original Sugar Syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish: Orange Zest

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass
  • Add ice
  • Stir, stir, stir
  • Strain into rocks glass with one gorgeous piece of ice
  • Garnish with the orange zest

Notes

To make the Werther’s Original Syrup – you need 100 ml of water and 10 candies. Just add the water and candy to a pot and heat it over the stove. When the candies have melted you have Werther’s Syrup! I don’t add extra sugar as I find it sweet enough but you can always add more.
