How to Make the Cardamom Espresso Martini

Some twists feel unnecessary; others make you wonder why they weren’t part of the original. The Cardamom Espresso Martini falls firmly into the latter.

Cardamom Espresso Martini

The fragrance of cardamom lifts the entire drink, adding warmth, depth and a quiet touch of spice without disturbing the clarity of the classic profile. It’s still your beloved Espresso Martini—just with a bit more confidence and far more character.

The Espresso Martini has been everywhere for years, but a small shift in aromatics can completely transform it. Cardamom softens the edges of the coffee and brightens the finish, giving the drink a rounded, almost luxurious feel.

It’s bold without being harsh, spiced without leaning festive, and ideal for anyone who likes their cocktails with a little more intention. If you already live in the world of rich, spirit-forward winter drinks—think the Smoky Maple Old Fashioned or the Smoked Apple Bourbon Smash—this sits comfortably alongside them.
