The Smoked Apple Bourbon Smash takes the loose, fruit driven structure of a smash and pushes it into colder weather territory. Apple and smoke give it more depth than the usual summer versions, while bourbon keeps it grounded. It sits somewhere between a seasonal crowd pleaser and a more serious whiskey drink.

Apple adds freshness and softness, while smoke changes the shape of the bourbon rather than overwhelming it. The smash format keeps the drink lively enough that it does not become too dense. It works best when the smoke is deliberate and not overdone.
Why Lush Life Loves It
I like this when I want something seasonal that still has a bit of swagger. It feels a little more rugged than the average fruit forward cocktail. When the apple is good and the smoke is restrained, it is very easy to get behind.
