This is a late July favorite when plums are in season! The Plum Sour is a variation on the Gin Sour, and instead of simple syrup, I’ve used plum!
Plum Sour
The Plum Sour is a tantalizing cocktail that combines the rich sweetness of plum with the tartness of lemon juice. Typically made with plum liqueur, bourbon or whiskey, and simple syrup, it offers a harmonious blend of fruity and boozy flavors, creating a refreshing and well-balanced sipper with a vibrant purple hue.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces Gin
- 1 ounce Fresh Lemon juice
- ½ ounce Plum simple syrup*
- 1 egg white
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a shaker
- Shake, shake, shake
- Add Ice
- Shake again!
- Fine strain into a coupe glass
- Garnish with a raspberry
- Bottom's up!
Notes
*Making plum syrup is super easy. Add plums to equal parts sugar and water. Simmer for about 10 minutes, watching carefully that it doesn't burn. Sieve it and you have the syrup!
