The New Riff New Fashioned takes the familiar Old Fashioned framework and rewires it with the distillery’s house style of bold, high-rye character.

Their bottled-in-bond bourbon brings a firm grain spice and an almost electric oak profile, giving the drink more drive than the classic template. Instead of leaning on a traditional sugar cube, the recipe typically uses a touch of rich demerara syrup, which layers in caramel depth without muting the whiskey’s edges.
Aromatic bitters keep the structure tight, but it’s the addition of orange bitters that sharpens the citrus lift and brightens the finish. The result is a cocktail that feels recognizably rooted in tradition while clearly engineered for modern palates: assertive, aromatic, and slightly more textured than the standard. It’s an Old Fashioned with a bit more swagger—clean lines, amplified flavor, and a finish that refuses to fade.
