This festive season, The Doyle Collection hotel group partners with one of the world’s leading luxury crystal brands Waterford, to bring the magic of Christmas to life in two of its London properties, The Kensington and The Bloomsbury.

United by heritage and a commitment to timeless design, the luxury collaboration invites guests to Step Into Christmas – a nod to Elton John’s timeless holiday song – with an immersive display of Waterford’s most exquisite pieces. From a showstopping tree in The Coral Room at The Bloomsbury adorned with the new Elton John x Waterford Festive Collection ornaments, to a breathtaking winter wonderland installation in The Kensington’s Drawing Room, each hotel offers an enchanting experience steeped in Irish artistry and spirit.
Founded in 1783, Waterford is an enduring symbol of Irish heritage and craftsmanship, renowned for its iconic stemware, giftware and bespoke creations. As a proudly Irish-owned hotel group, The Doyle Collection shares Waterford’s values of timeless luxury, heritage and elegance, making this partnership a true celebration of Irish craftsmanship and excellence.
The Kensington
This festive season, The Kensington unveils an enchanted Frosted Winter Wonderland, showcasing timeless elegance and modern craftsmanship in partnership with Waterford.
A grand Christmas tree stands proudly as the centrepiece, dressed in glittering Waterford crystal baubles including snowflakes, stars and icicles, shimmering with perennial refinement. Whispering sage, pearlescent whites and silvers bring a soft glow, while frosted foliage, blue berries and velvet bows add a delicate natural grace – drawing an eye to the crowning crystal star above – completed with beautifully wrapped gifts at the base.
Throughout the hotel, fireplaces will be adorned with wreaths of frosted winter foliage, while suspended Waterford ornaments will glisten in the firelight. From the staircase decorated with cascading garlands, sage velvet bows and crystal accents, to a striking Waterford nutcracker installation surrounded by crystal Christmas trees, Waterford’s innovation shines through in every detail.
Guests can toast the season with a bespoke Irish Coffee, served fireside in an iconic Waterford Lismore glass, or visit The K Bar for a theatrical tableside Chocolatini – an indulgent blend of Monkey 47, white and dark chocolate liqueurs, and chocolate bitters. Served in a Waterford Lismore Red Martini glass, it embodies the beauty of the Gothic-inspired pattern from Lismore Castle, the historic fortress in Waterford that is now the Irish seat of the Duke of Devonshire.
For an added touch of festive indulgence, the in-room bars in the Signature Suites will feature pieces from Waterford’s showstopping Mastercraft collection, including the Irish Lace Decanter Set. Guests can enjoy a selection of whiskeys, fine wines or champagne served in Waterford crystalware within the luxurious setting of their suite, where Waterford’s chandeliers glimmer above.
The Coral Room at The Bloomsbury
At The Coral Room, a spectacular 12-foot Christmas tree takes centre stage adorned with hundreds of dazzling ornaments from the Elton John x Waterford collection, infusing one of London’s most beautiful bars with bold, festive glamour. The brilliant ornaments capture key moments from Elton John’s legendary career – from the intrepid Rocket Man’s iconic flight to the glittering glamour of the disco era – with The Coral Room’s signature walls providing a vibrant backdrop.
Waterford’s new Elton John collection is a suite of collectable crystal designs inspired by one the world’s most beloved musical icons. Among the selection is the Elton John AIDS Foundation Red Heart Ornament, with 10% of sales from May 2025 to May 2026 donated to support the Foundation’s work for communities affected by HIV and AIDS around the world. This luxury suite of highly collectible designs is a joyous celebration of the enduring appeal of the musical legend, a consummate showman beloved by millions for generations.
Located within moments of the Dominion Theatre, current home to the Devil Wears Prada Musical, The Coral Room has curated a menu of bespoke cocktails inspired by the hit show – whose musical score is composed by Elton John – served in glimmering Waterford crystal glassware. Highlights include the Waterford Sparkle, featuring Código 1530 Rosa Tequila, Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV, fragrant bay leaf cordial, cranberry, and kumquat; the Gold Star, a decadent twist of Redbreast 12 Year Old Whiskey and Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV, enriched with velvety Guinness infused chocolate sauce; the Showstopper, where Monkey 47 Gin is fused with pear, jasmine, and pomegranate; and the Emerald Fizz, a refined non-alcoholic creation of Darjeeling Sparkling Tea, pomegranate, Cherry Love Social, and mandarin foam.
This collaboration between The Doyle Collection and Waterford celebrates the innovation, technique and tradition that defines Irish design and hospitality. Bound by a commitment to artistry, heritage and hospitality, they welcome guests to enjoy a season of sparkle, joy, and Irish spirit in the heart of London.
