To celebrate National Sake Week (15th-21st April), The Bloomsbury’s Dalloway Terrace will host an exclusive Sake Supper Club in partnership with Heavensake on Tuesday, 16th April.

Dalloway Terrace and HeavenSake Unite for an Unforgettable Sake Supper Club

Dalloway Terrace, gorgeously adorned with a canopy of springtime florals, provides the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy a delicious dinner matched perfectly with Heavensake’s premium sake. The supper club will be hosted by a Sake Samurai, who will offer a unique introduction to the artistry that underpins the creation of sake and shochu as guests try each sake paired with a dish created by Dalloway Terrace’s talented head chef, James Harrison.

Crafted with the utmost care and using the finest ingredients, the Japanese-inspired menu begins with an amuse-bouche of cucumber & avocado Uramaki roll, paired with Junmai Daiginjo’s Noir sake. Winner of the 2019 and 2020 ‘best sake’ title at the San Francisco IWC, this sake is considered one of the best in the world and boasts delicate floral notes with a vibrant early summer fruit flavour.

Following this, a starter of grilled enoki mushroom, kombu dashi, truffle, and yuzu will be served with Junmai Daiginjo’s Orange blend. Combining tasting notes of pineapple, lychee, apple, melon, and blossom, this sake has a delightful silky texture that pairs perfectly with the rich umami flavours of the starter.

The meal continues with delicious mains including corn-fed chicken yasai zuke and a vegan option of robata-grilled courgette, both served with asparagus, edamame, and a sanshi pepper dressing. Ideal for both red wine and dry white wine drinkers, the accompanyingJunmai Ginjo Azur sake blends melon, apple, butter, steamed rice, and mint.

The supper club will end on a sweet note with either a delectable miso and butterscotch tart with walnut ice cream or ube cheesecake(VE). Accompanying the dessert will be the Junmai 12 Sake, which boasts salted caramel notes that pair beautifully with the umami in the miso and the nuttiness of the ube.

Tickets are priced at £75 per person, and include a welcome drink and a signature tasting menu with sake pairings from Heavensake.
