How to Make the Avallen Hot Toddy

Here’s where French sophistication meets innovative mixology. This unique interpretation swaps traditional spirits for Avallen Calvados, bringing apple’s natural warmth to the forefront.

What makes this version particularly intriguing is its use of a wildflower and chili oxymel – a honey-vinegar infusion that adds both floral notes and gentle heat. The combination creates a fascinating interplay between the Calvados’ orchard fruits, honey’s sweetness, vinegar’s brightness, and chili’s subtle warmth.

With just hot water added, this deceptively simple recipe creates a complex and satisfying hot toddy that speaks to both tradition and innovation.
