I do love Christmas cocktails and intend to imbibe all of these until Santa comes down that chimney, and maybe after as well.
Christmas Cocktails are on the menu in London for such a short time, so I hope this Christmas Cocktail List will guide through the many, many creative cocktails there are in this fabulous London!
Christmas Cocktails in London 2019!
What a great way to begin the festive holidays by combining two great tastes into one – Mince Pies and Rum Sours in the Mince Pie Rum Sour! They’re the brain child of A Little Yellow Door!
The Little Yellow Door, 6-8 All Saints Road, London
From the creative geniuses at Lyaness, comes the Tattie Milk Punch – a vegan nod to the Classic Milk Punch. How do they do it? Well, I am sure it is way too complicated to explain, but it includes Compass Box Artist’s Blend, Vegan Honey, Potato ‘Cream’, and Aged Vanilla and tastes divine!
Lyaness, 20 Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1 9PD
I have a soft spot in my heart for Swift, having interviewed one of its owners Mia on Lush Life! This time for Christmas, they are bringing our their Warm Winter Bishop. Beginning with Bourbon and then adding Malbec, Clementine Sherbet, Chestnut, and Spices – who needs the traditional mulled wine when you have this?
Swift, 12 Old Compton St, Soho, London W1D 4TQ
When the snow is just beginning to come down, it’s all misty and romantic. That’s the best time to order the Misty Mezcal at Hacha! It’s not hard to believe this cocktail holds the holds the title of “Best Mezcal Cocktail in the UK” with an ingredient list including Dangerous Don Mezcal, Cocchi Di Torino, Dark chocolate liqueur, Port and a Mushroom Infusion!
Hacha, 378 Kingsland Rd, Dalston, London E8 4AA
With a mix of Grey Goose Vodka, olive oil, rosemary, H Theoria Procrastination liqueur, cream and wine, you get Winter’s spicy sharpness all in one sip. The Step In Time‘s hint of rosemary makes itself known through the creaminess and reminds us all that it’s December at Coupette!
Coupette, 423 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 0AN
Silky and decadent – perfect for the season, the creamy and warming Milky Cat is the Christmas Cocktail of choice in St. James. It’s like a Brandy Alexander gone crazy with Dupont Fine Calvados and Dubonnet, blended with cream and egg yolk with a hint of cinnamon syrup!
St. James Bar, 8 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5NG
Just the color alone brings us into the festive season! Who doesn’t love a blue cocktail? Homeboy‘s Corpus Christmas adds a splash of Blue Curacao to Bombay Sapphire, St Germain, and Tonic to get the party started!
Homeboy, 108 Essex Rd, Islington, London N1 8LX
Everyone is a Celebrity now, so why not drink a cocktail that was made for you. Be treated one, if only for the Christmas season at Opium! How decadent to have burning marshmallow added to HK Baijiu, Campari, Grapefruit, Calamansi, Sweet Spices, and, of course, the very festive Perrier Jouet champagne!
Opium, The Jade Door, 15-16 Gerrard Street, W1D 6JE
Another Mezcal cocktail joins our Christmas Cocktail list, because the Gaynor combines 30 & 40 Double Jus (pommeau, a French apple aperitif & Calvados), Chai & Walnut bitters to make it brimming with seasonal spices and fruity twists. Don’t miss Doña, the new pop-up bar is inspired by the vibrancy of Mexico and the sexiness of a 1920s Harlem jazz club.
Doña, 92 Stoke Newington High St, Stoke Newington, N16 7NY (closed)
Any cocktail with Chai-flavored ice cream as an ingredient is my kind of Christmas cocktail! Add Black Cow Vodka and Dishoom‘s own Coffee Liqueur and you have the Velvette Fog. It would definitely hit the right note with Mel Torme (google it!) during the holiday season.
Dishoom, 7 Boundary Street, E2 7JE
Ginger and pear are one of those amazing flavor combinations and work so well in the Pink Pear Mule. You can find it in the Fentimans Pink Gingerbread House. There is also a touch of Lime and Amaretto to balance out the cocktails. The life-sized Pink Gingerbread House will be decorated with icing, candy canes and a cosy interior complete with roaring fire.
The Fentimans Pink Gingerbread House: Skylight, Pennington St. Car Park Entrance Wapping, London E1W 2SF
Guests visiting The Sun Tavern can sip the evening away on Ebeneezer’s Reprise, a perfectly balanced cocktail made with The Sexton Single Malt, Citrus, Tangerine Tepache, Honey and Umbrella Brewing Ginger Beer.
The Sun Tavern, 441 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 0AN
Discount Suit Company will serve up a festive fizz special tipple, Nakatomi Fizz made with of Fords Gin, Citrus, Yippee Kai Yay Syrup and Fizz, making the perfect accompaniment to an evening of Christmas celebrations.
Discount Suit Company, 29A Wentworth Street, London E1 7TB
I always leave you with a recipe and I thought this one was equal parts naughty and nice!
Warnicks Snowball Fizz
- 50ml Warninks Advocaat
- 20ml Vanilla Syrup
- 80ml Prosecco
Run a fresh lemon wedge around the side of a large cut coupe and dip glass in a plate of icing sugar to create a dusted, snowy effect. Pour Warninks into the glass and top with vanilla syrup and prosecco. Slice a piece of lemon rind, trim with scissors, twist and garnish.
