How to Make the Bardinet Coffee L’Espresso Renoir

Named after French impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir. French Cafés became a regular feature in the lives of the Impressionist artists, serving as a hub for gathering together, discussing new ideas and watching the spectacle of modern life take place in front of them. (recipe thanks to Bardinet!)

Ingredients

  • 35ml Bardinet Coffee
  • 15ml Bardinet VSOP Brandy
  • 35ml espresso
  • 25ml vanilla syrup
  • 1 tsp of cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp of grated dark chocolate
  • Glass: Coupette / Martini

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the cocoa powder in the freshly-pulled espresso.
  2. Add all ingredients to a shaker
  3. Add ice
  4. Shake, shake, shake
  5. Strain into a coupe or martini glass
  6. Garnish with dark chocolate shavings
