Viajante87 welcomes Bolivian chef Marsia Taha from Gustu & Renato ‘Tato’ Giovannoni from Florería Atlántico!!

As part of the Supper Club series “The Culture Exchange”, the Notting Hill gem is hosting the best bars and restaurants from across Latin America throughout the year

On Wednesday 3rd April, the Notting Hill cocktail bar Viajante87 will be bringing an unmissable Supper Club to the city of London with chef Marsia Taha of Bolivian restaurant Gustu and one of Argentina’s best bars, Florería Atlántico. For one night only, diners can experience a range of  delectable dishes from the iconic restaurant, which placed at No. 23 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, which will showcase the ample, and often little-known, native pantry, with ingredients sourced from the Andes to the Amazon.

Part of a never before seen Supper Club series, The Culture Exchange, this is one of a select few dining experiences which Viajante87 will be hosting throughout the year to honour the time the team spent in Latin America which serves as the inspiration for the bar.

The series, which has seen restaurant Metzi with SubAstor and chef Diengo Chou with Selvática Social Club showcase their food and drink to London, will continue throughout the year with bars such as Alquimico, Sastreria Martinez and Hanky Panky, and restaurants such as Celele, Gustu and Casa Oaxaca.

For a once in a lifetime opportunity, the UK’s food and drink lovers will be able to taste a selection of dishes and drinks which celebrate the flavours, culture and ingredients of Latin America. Bolivian chef Marsia Taha, who was named as one of the young people shaping the future of gastronomy and voted as Latin America’s Rising Star Female Chef 2021, will be serving four courses to guests with ingredients which will bring Bolivian Heritage to life in Notting Hill.

Alongside each of the dishes, guests will enjoy unmissable drinks from the Florería Atlántico and Viajante87 teams which have been designed to perfectly match the food on the night. The dinner will run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and will be followed by a full takeover of the bar from the Buenos Aires Bar, which is currently No. 30 in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list.

Owned by Renato ‘Tato’ Giovannoni, the Argentinian bar will be serving up an assortment of drinks from its unique menu, inspired by the native people and immigrant colonies, which pay tribute to Argentina’s indigenous and rural communities, offering a taste of the region’s incredible heritage to London’s cocktail scene.

Each of the following takeovers will follow the same format with a once in a lifetime dinner from some of Latin America’s best restaurants and drinks from the region’s best bars. The schedule for the rest of the year will include Colombian legend Alquimico, which reached No. 9 in 2023’s list of The World’s 50 Best Bars with restaurant Celele, also of Cartagena, which landed at No. 16 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 in May, and in June Lima’s Sastreria Martinez will takeover the bar with restaurant Kjolle, which placed at No. 27 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023.

Viajante87, which reopened its doors in September 2023 under the leadership of Bar Director Pietro Collina and Brand Manager Veronica Di Pietrantonio, recently launched its full new menu inspired by the duo’s travels through Latin America. After six months of travelling through the region, “The Culture Exchange” series is their way of saying thank you for the incredible hospitality shown to them by each of these bars and restaurants.

Reservations are required and can be made here.
