One of my fav holidays is here! To mark the occasion, I am working with LMB UK to reveal a few of my favorite spritz flavors!
Each is created with a popular spirit or liqueur from LMB’s award winning portfolio – Bardinet Brandy, Villa Cardea Limoncello and Warner’s Rhubarb Gin – and feature the refreshing fruit flavours of zesty grapefruit, lush lemon and tangy rhubarb.
You can always read about the history of the Spritz in my book, A Guide to Drinking in Venice!
Bardinet Rosè Spritz

Because brandy is not just for Christmas…
Bardinet brandy’s mellow, fruity notes work perfectly in a whole host of summer cocktails and this serve is no exception. A must try for grapefruit lovers, it’s vibrant hues and citrus flavours are inspired by a late afternoon on the French Riviera.
- 40ml Bardinet Brandy VSOP
- 40ml grapefruit juice
- 10ml elderflower syrup
- 60ml prosecco
- A splash of sparkling water
- 1 slice of pink grapefruit to garnish
- Ice
Fill a large balloon glass with ice. Add the Bardinet Brandy, grapefruit juice and elderflower syrup then stir gently. Slowly add the prosecco, top with a splash of sparkling water then stir again gently. Add a slice of pink grapefruit and enjoy!
Warner’s Rhubarb Garden Spritz
An English garden in a glass
Distilled with real rhubarb and crammed with countryside flavour, Warner’s Rhubarb Gin is a refreshing farm-grown favourite which works wonderfully in this summer spritz.
- 50ml Warner’s Rhubarb Gin
- 70ml cloudy apple juice
- Top with prosecco
- Garnish with a slice of orange or fresh herbs
Build the gin and apple juice over ice in your favourite copa or wine glass. Top with prosecco and garnish with a slice of orange.
Villa Cardea Limoncello Spritz
Transports to Italy’s sun-soaked lemon groves
Produced in Northern Italy, Villa Cardea’s traditional limoncello is created using a unique, natural recipe which infuses the finest lemon peel from Sicily. The ‘star of summer’, a limoncello spritz, is a must try serve.
- 75ml prosecco
- 50ml Villa Cardea Limoncello
- 25ml soda water
- Ice and lemon slices to garnish
Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add the Prosecco, then the soda water and finally the limoncello. Stir gently and garnish with the lemon.
