Ketel One Vodka Launches the Edible Garden at Amico’s Bar

Diageo Reserve’s super premium vodka, Ketel One Vodka is partnering with Amico’s Bar in Ingatestone, Essex, to launch a bespoke Edible Garden activation.

The Amico’s Bar and Ketel One Vodka Edible Garden has been created using an innovative plant growing system called Evogro which allows rare and diverse ingredients to grow all year round, regardless of the season. It will feature an array of unusual plants and herbs that will be used as natural and home-grown garnishes and ingredients in a collection of bespoke Ketel One Vodka cocktails to enhance their flavour, texture and character. Amico’s will be the first bar in the UK to put in place a system of this ground-breaking horticultural technology in synergy with their outdoor herb garden; A process of technology from nature to glass.

The bespoke cocktail menu has been created by Amico’s Bar owner, founder and director of Global Bartending Dan Dove, and will be presented in the style of a gardener’s notebook. It will change on a monthly basis and will include a unique collection of cocktails featuring a diverse range of rare herbs and plants sourced straight from the Edible Garden. These will include red komatsuna, curled chervil, lemon gem tagetes, bulls blood beet and red garnet amaranth which have been selected to perfectly complement the flavours of Ketel One Vodka.

Cocktails will include Red Rubin Basil, a timeless classic based on the flavours of rich, zesty homemade pesto and Red Komatsuna, a sophisticated drink of sweet nutty combinations which highlights Ketel One Vodka’s citrus and honey notes.
