There is something about the lyrics to the theme tune of Cheers that seems particularly applicable to my guest today. For those who don’t know them, they go something like this:
“Sometimes you wanna go
Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came
You wanna be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows your name”
Greg Almeida knew he wanted his new bar to be in West London. I’m just lucky it was down the street from me. Throughout this insanely stressful year, Publiq has been my, and a whole load of other people’s Cheers.
Greg and his team have created a space where the neighborhood flocks. That takes a lot of work, even when there isn’t a global pandemic.
Find out why, and how, he is the perfect person at the right moment to fill that void, when we needed it the most.
On today’s episode, you’ll discover:
- What Greg and I have in common
- Why he knew that South Kensington would need Publiq
- His Top Tips for the Home Bartender
- How he makes his famous Strawberry Margarita
