How to make Small Beer, the Modern Way

How to make Small Beer, the Modern Way

It’s rare that you would think of taking a staple of the Elizabethan diet and attempt to bring it back into vogue. Our guest today did just that, and found it fits into our modern lifestyle just like it did back then.  During the 1700’s, small beer was on everyone’s lips, literally. Between 0.5 – 2.8% ABV and much healthier than water, small beer was served everywhere from work to home to schools.

After longing for a low ABV beer that actually tasted great, Felix James, and his business partner, did the research and came up with their own recipe. Thus, Small Beer Brew Co was established.  Now, we, of legal age, are happily drinking it again, just like our early ancestors – just so much better.
