How to Make the Cinico

El Sbarlefo is one of my absolute favorite bacari in Venice, the kind of place with the cicchetti are as amazing as the cocktails! Their Cinico is one of my favorites of their signature cocktails

Cinico

Why Lush Life Loves It

Most spritz variations play with bitterness. This one plays with warmth instead. Cinico is a lovely little Italian liqueur made from cinnamon, rhubarb, and ginger, so instead of the usual orange bite you get something cozy and a little spiced, still light enough for an aperitivo but with a personality all its own.

It is such a fun one to order at El Sbarlefo on a cool evening, and just as easy to make at home when you want your spritz hour to feel a bit different. I fell hard for bacari like this one while writing A Guide to Drinking in Venice!
