New Zealand’s Cardrona Distillery has today launched its second global cocktail competition! They are inviting UK bartenders to enter and 12 finalists will be given an experience of a lifetime, traveling to New Zealand to compete for the championship title in October this year.
Last year’s winner was from the UK (Francesco Cercato, above) from London’s Scarfes Bar, it was his first cocktail competition!

This competition is a celebration of the bartending community and we look forward to showcasing all the wonderful The Reid cocktails and the bartenders who’ve made them.
“The lucky 12 who make it to the grand final round can look forward to the trip of a lifetime as we introduce them to all the amazing sights and adventures this region has to offer, along with the opportunity to visit the home of The Reid. So whether you are a seasoned mixologist, or a creative cocktail maker that is new to the world of competitions (like last year’s winner Francesco) we want to hear from you!”
The Reid Global Cocktail Competition has four phases. The first round is the entry period, which runs from 1 February 2024 – 29 March 2024 and asks bartenders in the USA, UK and NZ to submit their cocktail via an entry form found on The Reid website at thereid.co.nz.
