After the success of the first edition, Barcelona Hotel Bar Week (BHBW) will return at the end of September 2026 with a calendar full of events and international guests. The world’s first cocktail week entirely dedicated to hotel bars confirms itself as one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Barcelona, March 2026 – From September 21 to 27, Barcelona Hotel Bar Week returns. An international event where, for one week, some of the city’s top hotels open their bar doors to the public with a special program. Highlights include dedicated cocktail menus, guest shifts featuring local and international bartenders, tastings, and events celebrating the creativity and hospitality of hotel bars..
Launched in 2025 with the participation of more than 25 hotel bars and a wide program of events across the city, the first edition brought together bartenders, brands, chefs, hospitality professionals and cocktail lovers, helping to strengthen Barcelona’s role as one of Europe’s mixology capitals.
Barcelona Hotel Bar Week was created to highlight hotel bars as creative spaces and meeting points for locals, industry professionals, and tourists. The event features a range of activities that turn hotel bars into vibrant social hubs, inviting both visitors and residents to experience them as accessible, dynamic places and an integral part of Barcelona’s cultural and social life.
“Barcelona Hotel Bar Week is an invitation to step inside and discover hotel bars as accessible, vibrant spaces full of possibilities. Mixology, culture and hospitality for everyone.” – says Bianca Grisolia, founder and organizer of Barcelona Hotel Bar Week. “The second edition will be an opportunity to consolidate the community born in 2025 and strengthen the dialogue between hospitality, mixology and the city.”

- 7 days and more than 20 of the best Hotel Bars in Barcelona
The second edition will open with the iconic Opening Party and will conclude on Sunday evening with the Closing Party open to the public. Throughout the week, the cocktail bars of participating hotels will offer an exclusive drink list created specifically for the event, with cocktails available at a fixed and accessible price.
An experience that goes beyond the cocktail
BHBW offers a true immersion into the world of hotel bars, with a rich program of activities open to the public.
During the day, industry professionals and cocktail enthusiasts can take part in tastings, masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and product presentations. The program also includes art exhibitions, leisure activities, book presentations, guided tours, and cultural encounters, highlighting the hotel bar as a space for exchange, creativity, and discovery.
In the evening, the atmosphere comes alive with guest shifts by national and international bartenders, themed events, and aperitifs on terraces and in hotel bars that represent Barcelona’s hospitality heritage.
“Mix & Eat”returns as the flagship initiative of this second edition. The format combines mixology and gastronomy, offering brunches, dinners, and tapas paired with cocktails specially created to complement each dish.
Some hotels will further enhance the experience by using spirits as key ingredients in exclusive recipes or by offering themed menus available throughout the week or for special occasions. Mix & Eat thus becomes a true mixology and culinary guide to exploring the city’s hotels.
The 2026 edition will also feature a stronger focus on wellness and lifestyle, introducing activities dedicated to wellbeing and the balance between mind, body and enjoyment. These experiences will often be paired with DJ sets and alcohol‑free or low‑ABV cocktails, promoting a more conscious approach to drinking while highlighting new mixology trends and offering updated insights into contemporary cocktail culture.
BHBW goes beyond celebrating high-end mixology; it also aims to position hotels as lively spaces within the city. Although they are a constant presence in the urban landscape, they are often underused by local residents. The initiative opens them up as accessible, dynamic venues, encouraging people to experience them as part of everyday city life.
