How to Make the Negroni

The Negroni is one of Italy’s great contributions to the cocktail world, said to have been created in Florence in 1919 when Count Camillo Negroni asked for his Americano to be strengthened with gin instead of soda. The result was something altogether more serious, and far more enduring.

Negroni

Built on equal parts gin, vermouth, and Campari, it is a masterclass in balance. Bitter, herbal, and just a touch sweet, it is a drink that rewards patience and quickly becomes a habit for those who appreciate its depth.

Why Lush Life Loves It

This was not love at first sip for me, but I remember exactly when it changed. Sitting at a bar in Italy, watching them make it without fuss, it suddenly made perfect sense. Now it is the drink I order when I want something with character and a bit of bite.
