The weather is slightly changing and more and more bars are starting to prepare for that by creating a few signature Autumn cocktails. These recommendations come from a few of the bars I have worked with before and are being served around London!
Orchard Breeze | Saicho
Sparking tea experts Sachio have developed a series of cocktail recipes ideal for concocting a brew at any time of the year. Orchards Breeze perfectly encapsulates the essence of autumn with garnishes of apple and blackberry which sit atop vanilla vodka, blackberry liqueur, pressed apple juice, and Saicho Hojicha, a roasted green tea from Japan, and served in a Copa or large wine glass.
Other Reality | St James Bar
Forming part of St James Bar’s new cocktail menu Imagination, the team playfully combines experimental techniques with refined flavours for its latest menu iteration. Other Reality consists No.3 Gin, White Port, Muyu Jasmine, Aperol, raspberry & white penja pepper.
Charlie Chaplin | Martinez
Hidden in one of Soho’s sweet spots on Greek Street, Martinez serves the ultimate gin infusion to warm spirits as we creep into Autumn. With its proximity to the bustling streets of Soho, Martinez is perfectly situated for guests to enjoy a tipple or two in its cosy seating area. Martinez’ Charlie Chaplin cocktail is evocative of stoned autumn fruits with apricot brandy, sloe gin and fresh lime juice.
Disco Inferno! | Bandra Bhai
Below the bustling pavements of London and only accessible via a concealed staircase at the back of the newly launched Pali Hill restaurant, Bandra Bhai is a glittering gem of a bar for those in the know. The cocktails are classic, showcasing skill and experience without distracting gimmicks, each one modernised with touch points of India. Disco Inferno sings with excitement featuring cardamom infused vodka, mango, chili and lime.
Bramble | Skylight
Skylight has pulled out the blankets and turned on the heating in preparation for the Autumn season. The Bramble is a classic blackberry-based gin cocktail with a sweet and citrusy twist which brings together dry gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, crème de mûre, and crushed ice. Soaring above London, Skylight boasts three floors of bars, street food, live entertainment, games, screens and unrivalled view of London’s iconic skyline.
