They’re everywhere this season! Canned cocktails have taken the lockdown world by storm. Here is a selection of the ones I’ve been able to try since then. I’ll keep adding to the list the more I try.
FYI: They are in alphabetical order, except for the last one!
Canned Cocktails
58 Gin
There are loads of Gin & Tonics in a can, but I was thrilled to see that 58 Gin, with its gorgeous spirit, take to this now common oeuvre of canned cocktails. They are producing bith Raspberry and Pink Grapefruit flavors, made from only 58 Gin’s premium London Dry Gin, natural fruit flavours and the purest sparkling waters.
Made from 58 Gin Hard Seltzers contain nothing artificial and no added sugars or sweeteners. They also have the added benefit of being vegan and gluten free to suit all dietary requirements.

Ace & Freak
Co-founded by my friend and spirit-ual guru, Tom Soden, bar consultant and co-owner of Nine Lives bar, I am slightly in love with the Watermelon & Cucumber Sangria. He discusses their launch in my 100th episode!
Ace + Freak contain 100% natural ingredients, including juices and fruit purees, plus craft spirits, wines and vermouths. They also have Ginger & Lemongrass Mule and a Mint & Elderflower Spritz.
East London Liquor Company
I saw Mikey Pendergast, a dear friend, former Lush Lifer and Global Brand Ambassador of ELLC, sipping one of these and had to have some. Just launched in June, East London Liquor Company emerged with some of the best tasting canned cocktails out there.
I was loving their Grapefruit Gin & Tonic, made from their award-winning London Dry Gin and mixed with their grapefruit-infused tonic. Their Rum & Ginger had me singing with their hit of ginger beer, kick of red chili and their home Rum.
They also have a Vodka & Rhubarb which has my dreaming of the English country side. For those who are really calorie conscious, they are also making a 33 calorie / 0.5% ABV variation on their Grapefruit Gin & Tonic.

Empirical Spirits & Toby Evans
How do you describe Empirical Spirits? They call themselves a ‘flavour company,’ but it’s a distillery that produces flavours you never could imagine!
For this series of canned cocktails, they’ve collaborated with Toby Evans, the über-cool designer, who has conceived the labels for their limited edition canned cocktail.
The two cans are Empirical’s Can 01 (milk oolong tea, toasted birch and green gooseberry) and Can 02 (sour cherry, blackcurrant buds, young pine cones and walnut wood).
With this description, I had no idea what to expect and have no idea how to describe them to you. You just have to try them yourself.
Jack Daniels & Cola
How could I not include Jack & Coke, especially now that you can get it in a can! For some reason, there is a bit of snobbery around drinking JD with cola, but I am a big fan of any cocktail that introduces drinkers to whiskey! I must say it’s easier (and cheaper) to buy one product than two!
Jack Daniels Honey & Lemonade
JD Honey & Lemonade is getting a separate billing because it’s one of my favorite combinations of all time. I had to try it in a can when I saw it on Ocado! It really is the dream team!

Smirnoff Selzter
Smirnoff has entered the category fighting! Made from a mix of Smirnoff No.21 Premium Vodka, sparkling water and natural fruit flavours. It’s perfect for summer with two delicious flavor combination, Raspberry & Rhubarb and Orange & Grapefruit.
The Uncommon
These have to be the prettiest canned wines on the market. It doesn’t hurt that owners Henry Connell and Alex Thraves knew all about design, before launching the first ever English sparkling wine in a can.
Still, pretty only gets you so far, it’s all about taste. No worries here! They taste amazing, with a choice of bubbly white and rosé!
With each can having its own first name, Gerald, Eleanor, Alfie and Peggy – you can’t help but imagine them being drunk during a picnic overlooking the Henley Regatta or Wimbledon. They taste amazing as well – with bubbly white and rosé on the menu here!
Spirit of Zing
How did he know? I met Pritesh Mody, owner of World of Zing & spice maestro, many, many years ago and it was as if he could read my mind. He has just now launched the Spirit of Zing. Technically they are bottled cocktails, not canned, but I couldn’t leave them off the list as I was WOWED by the flavors that I tried.
He has created 18 brand new cocktails to try, all sounding better than the next. Made using bespoke bitters and liqueurs, these cocktails are touched by the genius of Pritesh and everyone at World of Zing. Flavors include, Bordeaux Cask Aged Negroni, Salted Caramel Old Fashioned; Persian Lime & Nori Margarita, Passionfruit Spritz and Rhubarb Cosmopolitan. They even come in a set of 4 Travel Pack and I never want to travel without them…ever,
Vacay
I adore a Paloma cocktail – the mix of grapefruit, lime and, of course, tequila just can’t be beat! How psyched was I to hear I could get it in a can to have any time I want, all thanks to VACAY, a new ready-to-drink canned cocktail company.!
Not only is it the Paloma they’ve made, but also the Moscow Mule, the Tom Collins and the Blood Orange and Hibiscus Vodka Soda. They have no artificial colours or sweeteners and the range is also gluten free and vegan. Plus who doesn’t love the color of the can! The others have equally muted tones of green, yellow and white! They taste as good as they look!

Hippy Fizz
Ok, I’m sneaking this one in without trying it! Just heard about it and since it is from the Porter’s Gin team, I know I am sure to love it!
How could you not when it has a combo of malted passionfruit, pineapple shrub, patchouli leaf, and, of course, Porter’s Gin! It’s P-P-P-perfect!
