  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • ½ ripe banana (or 1 oz banana liqueur for a cleaner texture)
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a blender with a generous scoop of ice
  • Blend until smooth and slightly thick
  • Pour into a chilled coupe or hurricane glass

Notes

If you want it more classic and less “smoothie,” shake instead of blend and use banana liqueur instead of fresh banana. If you want it richer, use the fresh banana and push the lime slightly higher to keep the balance.
