French 75
Master the classic French 75 cocktail with our recipe. Combining gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar for a sparkling and refreshing drink. This recipe is by Abigail Gullo from her restaurant Loa in New Orleans!
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Cognac or Gin
- 1/2 ounce Lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
- 3 ounces Champagne
Instructions
- Add the gin or cognac, sugar syrup, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice
- Shake, shake, shake
- Strain into a Champagne glass
- Top up with Champagne
- Stir gently
- Garnish with a lemon peel
Notes
If using gin and making it the Loa way, Abigail suggests garnishing it with a fresh herbs from your garden, like Basil, Rosemary, Sage, Mint, Lavender, or Thyme.
