Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week Coming September 23-29

From September 23rd to 29th, the “Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week” arrives on the Amalfi Coast. A week of events dedicated to high-quality mixology, organized by Paola Mencarelli with the patronage of the Municipality of Ravello, in the best Cocktail Bars and Hotel Bars along the entire coast, in collaboration with the most important cocktail bars of Campania.

Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week

The event aims to showcase the high-quality mixology of the entire region and promote the culture of Conscious and Responsible Drinking.

“The spirit of the Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week is the same as the other Italian Cocktail Weeks, but I decided…to create a traveling event spread across multiple locations, in order to give the right emphasis to the quality of the great structures of this fantastic land,” Paola explained.

The Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week is indeed a tailor-made event, with several points in common with the other ICW by Paola Mencarelli events, but with a unique and custom-made format, to create a connection between the beauty of the places on the Amalfi Coast and the talent of bartenders from all over Campania.

SEVEN DAYS OF EVENTS AND AN EXCLUSIVE DRINK LIST

Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week is a seven-day event featuring dedicated Cocktail Lists, Masterclasses, Aperitifs, Pop-Up Bars with Campanian cocktail bars, and Guest Shifts with nationally and internationally renowned guests. It is dedicated to enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the industry, as well as cultural initiatives, recreational activities, and experiences aimed at newcomers, designed to introduce the general public to high-quality Campanian mixology.

Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week aims to explore the territory of the Amalfi Coast through an itinerary among selected Hotel Bars and Cocktail Bars, discovering drinks created specifically for the event.

For the 7 days of the event, each selected Cocktail Bar and Hotel Bar offers an exclusive ACCW24 Cocktail List with 3 types of cocktails:

  1. Signature Cocktail: A freely created drink which represents the cocktail bar.
  2. Cocktail RiEsco a Bere Italiano: A drink dedicated to made in Italy with products from Italian companies that adhere to RiEsco a Bere Italiano.
  3. Cocktail Campania Felix: A drink with raw materials and typical products of the Campania region.

POP-UP BARS FROM CAMPANIAN COCKTAIL BARS

From September 23rd to 29th, the ACCW24 Cocktail Bars and Hotel Bars host Pop-Up Bars from the most important cocktail bars in Campania, which present their own ACCW24 Cocktail List for the occasion. There will also be Guest Shifts with Italian and international guests – with a focus on Campanian bartenders working in Italy and abroad.

A COCKTAIL WEEK IN SIX DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

A major innovation of the Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week is an Events Calendar that unfolds during the week in the main destinations of the Coast: Vietri sul Mare, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano, and Positano. While the cocktail weeks in Florence, Venice, and Cortina d’Ampezzo are characterized by initiatives and events in the city’s cocktail bars, for the Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week – as the name suggests – the selected cocktail bars and hotel bars are located in the various locations along the Coast.

During the week, all selected cocktail bars will offer the ACCW cocktail list, while various events will take place according to a schedule for each day in the 7 main locations identified by the organization.

The festivities kick off in Vietri sul Mare with the Opening Party on Sunday, September 22nd, an exclusive event at Giardini del Fuenti in collaboration with Side-B Events. It will be a unique and unmissable evening in one of the most fascinating and characteristic locations in Italy, featuring the best cocktail bars from all over Campania, as well as a food area and a pizza corner with Campanian gastronomic excellences.

Monday, September 23rd, and Tuesday, September 24th are dedicated to Maiori and Minori. Maiori will also host the Maestro Challenge on these two days, a famous bartender competition created by “The Maestro” Salvatore Calabrese, with the Final Party scheduled for Tuesday, September 24th.

Paola Mencarelli herself invited The Maestro to move his competition from the usual month of June to September, to create a true happening on the Coast. On Wednesday, September 25th, and Thursday, September 26th, the event moves to Ravello, then to Amalfi on Friday, September 27th, and Saturday, September 28th, and finally concludes with the final day on Sunday, September 29th, in Praiano and Positano.
