The Alaska Cocktail is a classic from the early twentieth century, appearing in the Savoy Cocktail Book and reflecting a time when simple, spirit forward drinks dominated. Despite its name, it has little to do with Alaska itself.

Made with gin, yellow Chartreuse, and bitters, it is smooth, slightly herbal, and quietly complex. The Chartreuse softens the gin while adding depth. It is a cocktail that rewards a slower pace.
Why Lush Life Loves It
This is one I order when I want something a bit more thoughtful. It is subtle, but there is a lot going on beneath the surface.
