How to Make the Last Word

The Last Word is a Prohibition era cocktail that was rediscovered in the early 2000s and quickly regained its place as a modern favourite. It combines gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and lime in equal parts.

Last Word

Its balance is unusual but incredibly precise, with herbal, sweet, and citrus notes all working together. It is bold, distinctive, and hard to forget once you have tried it. It also stands out in any lineup.

Why Lush Life Loves It

This was one of those drinks that caught me off guard the first time I had it. It is unusual, but once you understand it, you keep coming back.

Modern Bar Cart host Eric Kozlik's favorite cocktail! Remember that "the garnish is traditionally a brandied cherry that sits at the bottom of the coupe and can be eaten when the glass is drained – a "last word" of sorts."
