Cocktails for the Elephant Family charity!

The myth is that Elephant-headed, Hindu God Ganesha was created from Shiva’s laughter – how romantic is that?  Known as the Remover of Obstacles and the Lord of Letters and Learning, Ganesha is beloved by all Hindu denominations. This month, you can also invoke his spirit while sipping a cocktail created in his name at the Polo Bar at The Westbury, London. Turmeric syrup, House of Waris Elephant Gin-infused with White Pomegranate Tea make up this eponymous treat ! It’s served in one big cocktail glass with a smaller taster glass next to it to represent the mother elephant and her baby! Delicious in so many ways!!!

The Westbury, The Wellesley and The Park Tower Knightsbridge, all members of The Luxury Collection  (with The Westbury and The Wellesley the latest two London properties to join the portfolio!) have created an exclusive cocktail in partnership with actor Waris Ahluwalia (of Wes Anderson fame). As a long-time ‘Global Explorer’ for The Luxury Collection and staunch supporter of Elephant Family charity, Waris has infused each cocktail with his House of Waris teas to raise funds for Elephant Family’s conservation efforts in India ahead of The Extraordinary Elephant Adventure rally across Rajasthan in November. 100% of the profits from the drinks will be donated to Elephant Family charity.

At The Wellesley Knightsbridge, guests can enjoy the Hibiscus Royal, which blends House of Waris Organic Hibiscus Citrus Tea with Scotch whisky, vanilla syrup and Mandarin Napoleon. The result is a brightly colored, citrusy serve, garnished with a physalis.

Finally, The Park Tower Knightsbridge, has created Haze Tower, a classic cocktail with a twist. The Hyde Bar Whisky has been infused with House of Waris Tea Earl Grey Tea and paired with Gomme Syrup Giffard, finished with a dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Hurry as this ends at the end of the November!
